Kosher candles

Queen B has a vast array of cliental. Candles made specifically for the Jewish community to celebrate Shabbat, Chanukkah and many more celebrations.

Queen B candles have been used for many years by our Jewish clients to light up their Shabbat, Chanukkah, Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Pesach (Passover) celebrations. However in more recent times we have worked more closely with the Australian Kashrut Authority to create specific, kosher certified, candles to meet the particular needs of the various occasions.

The Kashrut Authority was delighted to offer their KA certification to Queen B. Rabbi Gutnick advises, "Kosher consumers should note that halachically, next to olive oil, beeswax is the premium fuel for mitzvotand is considered superior to all other waxes. Indeed, some people have the custom to especially seek out beeswax candles for the shamash even when using oil on Chanukah.”

For Hanukah we have bundles of 45 candles available in both an 11.5cm length (approx. 1.5 hrs burn time each) and 24cm length (approx. 3 hrs burn time each). The candles are approximately 0.8cm wide and are dipped.

We will continue adding to our range as requested and when we complete wick testing to ensure a beautiful burn.
