Reuben Bloom is one of the incredibly talented sons of Sam Bloom of Penguin the Magpie fame.

As a Northern Beaches local, an aficionado of magpies (just as Maggie, my dog), a passionate supporter of #local and #handmade and a retail store owner needing to be relevant but loathing commercialism, Reuben's trees are absolutely perfect.

So perfect, I bought 2!

With the retail store now closed and Maggie and me soon to embark on a new adventure, it's time for change. No plastic in sight. No need to buy a new Christmas Tree every year - "buy something once to last a lifetime" in Reuben's words. Win - win.
